About Kutseka
I learned to use a camera by picking up my father's Canon AE-1 on Safari at the age of ten. I grew up overseas in Kenya, East Africa, and my love for photography started with shooting prides of lions on film. Since then, my love for the art form has only grown. Kutseka means "to laugh" (joy) in Kigiriama!
Elopements
Eloping either in the mountains or at the courthouse is my favorite way to get married! It's the perfect setting to prioritize an intimate and romantic style while keeping the focus on YOUR love story.
Weddings
Who doesn't love a wedding? I always cry, and getting to know you and your family during such a special time is not a job I take lightly. Rest at ease- I've got you fully covered on your big day.
Engagements
Asking your person to spend their life with you is perhaps one of the most emotional and memorable events you'll ever experience. I'll ensure I capture every second of them saying YES!

It can be hard to trust a stranger to capture the biggest moments in your life, which is why I strive to quell any reservations or questions from the very first contact. Curating seamless, transparent, and easy to navigate processes is what I'm best at, and I'm a firm believer in relying on these to put my clients at ease. I want to help you feel informed, supported, and most importantly excited- not stressed- going into your special day!
My Experience
I've had a camera in my hand for over 20 years. I started professional wedding work in 2015, then moved into adventure + wildlife photography for several years. Now, a decade later in 2025, it's time to combine the skills I've learned into a business that I love and feel fulfilled in!
My style
Over the years my art style has changed a million times, and I expect it to evolve even more as time goes on. One thing has stayed constant however, and that's my pursuit of the perfect lighting, interesting composition, and a romantic but very clear and beautiful photograph.
My Dream Client
I work with anyone and everyone, and have a plethora of experience with many different types of couples. However, I would be lying if I didn't say that I don't lean more heavily towards those who are a little more alternative, adventurous, and open to creative ideas that challenge all things traditional.
My Purpose
I'm not a big believer in setting hard goals with deadlines and the stress to "achieve". However, I am huge on continuous growth and a fun challenge. Towards that end, my objective is to create a near perfect client experience that exceeds expectations and dares not only myself, but the competition, to do better.

We are all familiar with the phrase "written by a woman" and my photography style is as close to that as you can get. I know your romance story is deeper than just finding your person- it's finding the one whose demons play nice with yours. It's raw, it's emotional, and it's so important to me that I capture that depth on film.
